Writers see how they have the power to create change when they put pen to paper or fingers to keyboard can have in creating the change we wish to see in the world. Malala Yousufazi took great risks to write about how young girls are treated in Pakistan under Taliban rule, where they are denied an education. Her father organized a secret school for girls to help overcome this oppression. The BBC (the major news source in Europe) asked if a student from the school would write about her experiences and his daughter rose to the occasion though she faced certain death if she was discovered.
